Silas James SEYBOLD, 69, former resident of Montgomery County died Sunday morning at Passavant Hospital, Chicago where he had been hospitalized 3 weeks. He was born Jan 24, 1891 in Waveland, son of George and Wilmenia Peterson Seybold. His father died several years ago and his mother in 1954. Mr. Seybold graduated from Wabash College 1913 and had lived in Chicago the past 45 years. He was a member of the old Presbyterian Church at Darlington. He was employed at Chicago by Marshall Field for a number of years and was last employed by McClurg & Co in the advertising department. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Clare S. Wallace, with whom he made his home the past 15 years and Mrs. Mary Farr of Los Angeles; a brother, Hubert P. Seybold of Darlington. He was preceded in death by a brother, Worley, and two infant sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 Wednesday at Bright Funeral Home, Darlington. -- kbz
